Increased flexibility COVID-19 rebook policy
Now travel restrictions are lifted and borders are opening again, Air France and KLM are building their network step by step. We keep monitoring the COVID-19 development worldwide closely and both airlines understand the uncertainty customers still experience and therefore offer more time and flexibility via the commercial rebook and refund policy. Extra flexibility is provided via the Cabin to cabin and the Class to class components in the policy and the 15% extra voucher value that is offered as an incentive.

Cabin to cabin rebooking
Air France and KLM offer customers the flexibility to rebook their trip in the same cabin at no extra charge. Customers that need to reschedule their journey to a later moment in time can do this without additional costs if the new flight departs before or on 30 November 2020. The reservation can be changed within the same cabin, without any charge, even if the original booking class in not available.

Class to class rebooking
Customers that need to rebook their reservation to flights that depart on or after 1 December 2020 can make use of the Class to class rebooking flexibility. They can change their reservation within the same booking class free of charge. If the same booking class in not available on the desired new date, the fare difference is charged.

Up to 15% extra voucher value
Of course, rebooking of flights is encouraged but if customers cannot yet reschedule their trip, Air France and KLM understand. As a solution the customer can get a voucher as reimbursement. To make traveling in the future more attractive, Air France and KLM give up to 15% extra value on the original voucher for new reservations. If the customer requests a refund, the additional value will not be included in the cash payout.
