All international passenger traffic to Curaçao is suspended immediately. As of today, Hato International Airport has to close its doors to all incoming passengers. That is one of the consequences of the lockdown that applies to the island since today. Since March 15, the airport has been closed to passengers from Europe.
Two days ago, the airport announced that residents of Curaçao can no longer enter the country by plane for two weeks from today. However, an exception applies to medical personnel, medical flights and people who have special permission from the Curaçao government to land. There is also an exception for passengers who want to leave the island.
Passengers cannot reach the island by plane until the end of the lockdown. The lockdown will continue until April 12, although it will be evaluated afterwards whether that period should be extended.
